Wolter Pieters is professor of Work, Organisations and Digital Technology at the faculty of Social Sciences. Previously he was associate professor of Cyber Risk at Delft University of Technology, faculty of Technology, Policy and Management. He has a background in computer science and philosophy of technology, and published widely on cyber risk management, information ethics, and human factors in cybersecurity. In recent years he has specialised in cybersecure behaviour and cybersecurity communication. In Nijmegen, he focuses on safety, (cyber)security and privacy in work environments, and the associated role of digital technology, behaviour, communication and organisational culture. He is also the contact person between the faculty and the university-wide iHub initiative on digitalisation and society.
